Chümou power consumers asked to clear bills

DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 14 (MExN): The Department of Power has informed all consumers under Chümoukedima Electrical Division covering the towns and villages under Medziphema, Kuhuboto, Niuland, Dhansiripar and Chümoukedima block stretching till Sovima village and 5th Mile to clear their pending bills. A press release from the department informed that with effect from January 21, the department will be disconnecting supply of defaulters who have not paid electricity bills without further notice. In case of any discrepancy in bills, the concerned consumers have been asked to verify and rectify the same from the office of their respective SDO (Electrical).  

Dimapur DC convenes meeting on COVID 

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 14 (MExN): A joint meeting of the District Task Force for COVID-19 and the District TAST Force for COVID-19 vaccination has been convened on January 15 at 11:30am. A circular from the DC’s office informed that the meeting will be held at the conference hall of the Dimapur DC’s office.

Excise Dept seizes IMFL in Dimapur

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 14 (MExN): The Narcotic Cell of the Excise Department conducted surprise checking at several locations within Dimapur and recovered 480 bottles of assorted IMFL. In this connection the accused persons were arrested and penalized as per relevant sections of the NLTP Act ’89, informed a press release from the Deputy Commissioner of Excise. The seized items were deposited in the office malkhana. 

Gov extends Sühkrühnye greetings

KOHIMA, JANUARY 14 (MExN): Nagaland Governor, Prof Jagdish Mukhi has extended Sühkrühnye greetings to the Chakhesang community and the people of Nagaland. “Sühkrühnye is a harvest festival and the essence of this beautiful festival is the sanctification of the Chakhesang community. Rituals involved are meant to purify the souls, and the children also learn the rich spiritual and cultural practices,” a press release from the Raj Bhavan Kohima stated. “Let us celebrate this beautiful festival responsibly by adhering to all the Covid-19 protocols. On this significant occasion, I wish you all a safe and a joyous festival. God bless Nagaland,” the press release added. 

NSCN/GPRN (Akato) greets Chakhesang community

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 14 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN (Akato) has extended Sühkrühnye greetings to the Chakhesang Nagas. “After the harvest, and with the beginning of the New Year and the arrival of spring, the Chakhesangs engages in activities related to traditional sports and entertainment, to welcome the beginning of the New Year,” a press release from the MIP, NSCN/GPRN (Akato) stated. It added that Sühkrühnye festival is also celebrated during which boys and girls are consecrated though religious ceremonies and rituals. “Like the festival signifies, may our Chakhesang brothers and sisters continue to thrive in prosperity in the days to come and also to usher and propagate peace amongst Nagas,” it hoped.

Tuensang DPDB meeting rescheduled 

TUENSANG, JANUARY 14 (MExN): The Tuensang District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) monthly meeting has been rescheduled to January 18 at 11:00 am in the Deputy Commissioner's Conference hall, Tuensang. This was informed in a notice issued through the DIPR today. All DPDB members have been requested to follow COVID-19 SOP and attend the meeting without fail.
