VAC prog held in Kidima 

Kidima, February 19 (MExN): The 15th Southern Angami II A/C Village Adoption Committee (VAC) 2019-2021 programme was held at Kidima on February 18. VAC convener, Vineikho Tetso, EAC Kezocha chaired the programme. A press release stated that he was accompanied by District Sports Officer and District Sericulture Officer who distributed numerous sports good to the Kidima Youth Organisation, catering items to Kidima Women Society and computer and printer set to Kidima Students’ Union (KSU).

NDA condemns 

Dimapur, February 19 (MExN): The Nagaland Dobashi Association (NDA) has strongly condemned the “harassment, assault and torturing” of its member T Ngolo Koza, DB of Kezkakeno by the mob from Tunjoy village of Manipur on February 15 “while on the line of duty maintaining law and order.” NDA president Noklemtoba and vice president Khunyü Rino in a condemnation note has requested the state government to book the culprits at the earliest and take sternest action against them. 
 

Naga Students’ Union Prayagraj informs 

Dimapur, February 19 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Union Prayagraj (NSUP) has requested the Naga students who have taken new admission in Prayagraj (Allahabad), Uttar Pradesh (211007) to contact the NSUP officials at the earliest. Kiphire Weekly Friday Bazaar reopens 

Kiphire, February 19 (MExN): Mahila Shakti Kendra, Kiphire Weekly Friday Bazaar at Bamboo Hut, KTC Market Complex was officially re-opened on February 19. District Administration, DLCW- Mahila Shakti Kendra, Kiphire Town Council in convergence with National Rural Livelihoods Mission successfully mobilized and invited various SHGs and women from Longmatra Block and Sitimi block as the first phase to sell agro products at the bazaar. Apila Sangtam, President, Akehda Sangtamlaru Thsingmujang took the honour of inauguration the bazaar. The weekly market under the banner of MSK is aimed at facilitating women SHGs from all eight blocks on rotation basis to sell their produce at the urban market with the help of the network of SHGs under the NRLM. It aims at providing platform to the rural farmers by providing transport to sell their produce at the nearest urban towns like Kiphire and Pungro. 
 

DRFCB directs laundry services

Dimapur, February 19 (MExN): Owing to various reports of “unhygienic sources of water” used for washing  clothes, the Dhansiri River Flood Control Board (DRFCB) has informed all the laundry services operating in and around the Dimapur to utilize only the government allocated “Dhobi-ghat” located at Dhansiri River (behind Urban Haat). This was stated in a press release issued by DRFCB, Chairman, Hokheto Kiba. 

Noklak dist admin clarifies on fraudulent advertisement

Noklak, February 19 (MExN): The Branch Manager of SBI Noklak has brought to the attention regarding fraudulent advertisement on “SBI Career in Noklak Branch”  in the website government.bankjobsnearme.com The Extra Assistant Commissioner, Noklak, Yithachu Thur has clarified that it is a fraudulent advertisement impersonating SBI, Noklak Branch.

DC Peren informs on allotment of plot

Peren, February 19 (MExN): The DC Peren, Sentiwapang Aier has informed all concerned that allotment of plot to private individuals at Peren as per SLAA approval list will be done on February 26 at DC's Conference Hall, through draw of lots. All concerned have been requested to be present or send a suitable representative through authorization.
 

CAN Kohima informs 

Kohima, February 19 (MExN): Catholic Association, Nagaland (CAN) Kohima during its first meeting selected CAN President, Jonny and Dr Azo as Nagaland representatives to the Northeast and selected Kenei, P Vikheto Sema, Rosling, N Kat and Kethri as members of Parish Touring Committees. CAN in a press release also stated that only “genuine cases of the catechist problem will be financially help by the CAN and that all the tribal general secretaries will represent to the CAN executives.”
