SFSAN condemn January 24 incident

Kohima, January 28 (MExN): The State Forest Service Association of Nagaland (SFSAN) has condemned the shocking incident on the evening of January 24, wherein an individual opened fire on the official vehicle belonging to the Assistant Conservator of Forests under Zunheboto Forest Division. Fortunately, no occupants were in the vehicle at the time of the incident. It does not, however, negate the fact that the officers/staff have experienced mental harassment as a result of this incident, the association stated. SFSAN said that it is deeply distressed to learn that a dedicated and sincere officer who is also a bona fide member of the Association was the victim of such a heinous act. “In order to ensure that those involved are held legally accountable, we urge the law enforcement authorities to initiate a comprehensive investigation into this incident and award a befitting punishment to the perpetrator,” it added.
