DC Dimapur strictly prohibits  all gatherings at State Stadium

Dimapur, June 11 (MExN): The Dimapur Deputy Commissioner, Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS on Friday issued an order stating that all gatherings at the State Stadium, Dimapur are strictly prohibited during the period of lockdown. The order has been issued after it has come to the notice that there have been mass gatherings of the public at State Stadium, Dimapur. It may be mentioned that Government has prohibited gatherings and closing down all places of mass gathering in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. Further, the DC also is reiterated that all places of mass gatherings in the district, including sports stadiums/ complexes are to remain closed and any person found violating this order will be liable to be prosecuted against as per the relevant sections of the law. 

Dak Adalat on June 15 

Kohima, June 11 (MExN): The Dak Adalat for redressal of Public Grievance on Postal matters will be held on June 15 at 11:00 am in the Chamber of the Superintendent of Post Offices, Kohima. All complaints, grievances, suggestion, if any related to Postal Services for discussion in Dak Adalat may be sent to the Superintendent of Post Offices, Kohima or by email at sponagaland@g,mail.com on or before June 15.

Konyak organisations condemn June 8 incident 

Mon, June 11 (MExN): The Konyak Catholic Association (KCA), Konyak Catholic Women Association (KCWA) and Konyak Catholic Youth Association (KCYA) have condemned the “barbaric and inhuman act” committed by a youth to Rev Fr Sam sdb at the Priests' Presbytery Don Bosco Centre Mon on June 8. The three organizations in a joint statement said, “We will not tolerate such act of foolishness in the near future.” Meanwhile, they have appreciated the District Administration and the Police Mon for the timely intervention and necessary action initiated against the culprit.

Two bike lifters arrested  in Dimapur

Dimapur, June 11 (MExN): The Dimapur Police on June 10 last arrested two persons namely Toluka Chophy (30 years) and Anovi Awomi (37 years) in Westyard area after the alert colony members raised an alarm on noticing the two mentioned persons attempting to escape with a stolen TVS Apache bike. A case has been registered in Sub-Urban PS, Dimapur, the PRO Dimapur Police said in a press release.
