MYKIFEST Award today

MYKIFEST Award 2020-21 under the aegis of Women Resource Development department will take place on March 8 at Hotel Japfu, Kohima at 12:00 noon. MYKI products have been showcased and sold in various platforms and with the inclusion of MYKI products under the “Naturally Nagaland” initiative of the state government in the recent times, the MYKI brand is rapidly gaining recognition both within and outside the state. Nagaland’s Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services and Women Resource Development advisor R Khing will give away the awards. Anenla T Sato, Commissioner & Secretary for Women resources Development, Nagaland will deliver keynote address.

NSCN (IM) budget session from March 17

Dimapur, March 7 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) will hold a two-day Budget Session for the fiscal year 2021-2022 starting March 17. ‘The President of the GPRN has called for the Budget Session for the fiscal year 2021-2022, scheduled on the March 17 and 18 March, 10:30 AM at the Council Headquarters (CHq), Hebron, informed a press release from MIP, NSCN (IM). Members of the Collective Leadership, Executive Members (EM) of the Steering Committee, Members of the Steering Committee, all Kilonsers with portfolios and without portfolio, Tatars, CAOs & EOs, Naga Army Officers, HoDs and NSWON are requested to attend the session positively, it said.  Agenda, if any, can be submitted on or before March 14 to the office of the Tatar Hoho Secretariat, it added.

NSCN (R) mourns demise of member

Dimapur, March 7 (MExN): The NSCN (Reformation) through its MIP expressed sadness at the demise of Muzivoyi Puro, Deputy Kilonser who passed away on March 6. Late Puro was a sincere and a dedicated Nationalist who served under various capacities, and defended the Naga Cause till his last breath, it stated. He was presently serving as the Chairman (Chakhesang Region) and also an active member of CFSB (Ceasefire Supervisory Board), the release added. “In his demise, we have lost a potential leader, a promising compatriot, a gallant torchbearer, a true comrade, and a dearest friend,” the NSCN (R) stated while conveying condolences to the bereaved family members and praying for the departed to rest in peace.

Security Forces arrest two cadres
 
Kohima, March 7 (MExN): Two cadres – one belonging to NSCN (IM) and the other NSCN (U) – were arrested in a joint operation by security forces and state police in general area Hozukhe, Dimapur on March 5, an official release informed.  The operation based on a “specific input” resulted in the recovery of “25 extortion slips, Rs 1290 in cash and two mobile phones,” stated the release from HQ IGAR (N). The apprehended individuals along with recovered items have been handed over to Nuiland Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation, it added.
