Longleng, May 18 (MExN): Chief Medical Officer, Longleng has informed to all 11 ward chairman in Longleng that, due to the increase of COVID-19 positive case in the district, there is an increase of contact tracing, since sample collection teams are unable to go to each and every house. Therefore, they have been requested to identify a spot/place for sample collection from their respective ward. APO elects new team for tenure 2021-23

Condolences pour in for former MLA Imlong Chang
Kohima, May 18 (MExN): Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio expressed grief over the demise of K Imlong Chang, former MLA to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly on May 16 last.
Late Imlong, before joining State Politics, had served the Government of Nagaland, as a Circle Officer. He was posted at Jakhama, Chiephobozou and Zubza. He joined politics in 1982 and held constitutional offices from 1987 to 2003.
CM said that late Imlong was a dedicated and hardworking government servant as well as a respected public leader. Throughout his political career he was someone who worked selflessly for the welfare of the people, especially for those who belonged to the marginalised sections of society. In his death, the Nagas in general and the Chang community in particular have lost a tall leader and the vacuum created due to his death will be difficult to fill, he stated.
Rio extended condolences to members of the bereaved family and prayed that the Almighty grant them peace and solace at this time of grief and sorrow.
ENNWU: The Eastern Naga National Workers Union (NSCN/GPRN) stated it is saddened at the demise of late Imlong Chang and said, “We have lost another great fatherly figure and tallest leader whose absence will be hard to replace.” ENNWU conveyed heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul.
CCSU: The Confederation of Chang Students' Union (CCSU) said that late Imlong Chang was a leader of utmost integrity, honour and courage who had immensely contributed so much in different capacity to the Chang and the Nagas in general. The Confederation conveyed its condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
EX-PAN: The Ex-Parliamentarian’s Association (Ex-PAN) in its condolence note stated that late Imlong Chang served the people with sincerity and dedication. His death is not only a loss to his family but also to the Naga People. At this moment of grief, it is our prayer that the Almighty God gives solace and comfort to the bereaved family members, it added.
K Therie: The NPCC president K Therie stated that late Imlong was a peaceful person, and losing him at his politically prime age is an irreparable loss not only for the Chang community but for the Nagas as a whole. “I extend deepest condolences to the bereaved family members. May the Almighty God through his abundant Grace comfort you all through this painful hour of parting,” he added.
