Rostrum cum amphitheatre was inaugurated by Keyirangding Hegui, NCS PD DRDA, Phek on March 26 at Middle Khomi Village. Vekhotso Lohe gave the welcome address while short speech was delivered by Razukhru D Vasa, incoming PD DRDA, Phek .Hegui spoke on the importance of promoting Agri & allied activities in order to become self reliant  and improve the livelihood of the villagers. He also emphasized on the importance of unity and cooperation in the village.

Commemorating the celebration of 75 years of India’s independence, the department of Economics, Modern College Kohima (MCK) organized a prepared speech competition on the topic ‘Role of Youth in Nation Building’ on March 26.
Chongboi Singson (BA 6th Sem) was adjudged the winner, while Tokiho Achumi (BA 4th Sem) and Takanungba Pongen(BVoc 6th Sem) were the first and second runners-up respectively. The competition was judged by Dr Vitsou Yano (Principal), Dr Daili Kholia (HoD & Assistant Professor Department of Education) and Shahilo Khing (HoD & Assistant Professor Department of Political Science). A short presentation on ‘Jawaharlal Nehru: Towards Independence’ was presented by S Anthony, Assistant Professor, department of Political Science (MCK). The event was sponsored by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan.
 

51 persons including church leaders, lecturers from theological colleges and NGOs attended the training programme on COVID-19 vaccination on March 26 sponsored by the Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur. The resource persons were Dr Rebecca Y Sema and Dr Benchilo Ngullie while programme coordinator was Pastor Yanbemo Lotha. The participants will create awareness on COVID-19 vaccine in their community. (DIPR Photo)
