Neithongunuo Rio Achumi, proprietor of Elite Strength Gym, Dimapur made Nagaland proud by securing Bronze in Women's Bikini Open Category at NPC Bengal Championship 2022. Indian Physique Alliance, IFBB professional league was held in Kolkata on March 27. Achumi has qualified for the NPC nationals and IFBB Pro League International to be held in June 2022.

Dr Watizulu Süzümeren Jamir, Sr Vice President, Nagaland Badminton Association (NBA) has been appointed to the post of Vice President, Badminton Association of India (BAI) for the tenure 2022-26 to be led by Assam Chief Minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma as President. With a view to foster stronger people to people contact, the Niuland district administration, in collaboration with the 155th Battalion of the CRPF, organised an Inter-state Cultural Exchange programme at Naukhuti on March 29.
