The 12th Battalion National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) carried out a plantation drive on June 16 in view of Akhil Bhartiya Vriksha Ropan at Regimental School, 4th BN NAP, Thizama under Kohima district. The drive was carried out in collaboration with the regimental school staff under the supervision of Deputy Commandant PN Singh. Fruit bearing plants, medicinal plants as well as non-fruit bearing plants were planted. Around 300 saplings of fruit bearing plants, medicinal as well as decorative plants were planted during the event.

A new ambulance of the Shamator Community Health Centre (CHC) was dedicated by Rev Thsankiu in the presence of Shamator ADC Warren Hollohon, Medical Officer Dr Mhathung, NDPP 58 A/C Party leaders, NGO leaders from Shamator town on June 17.
