‘MIX-UP Guys’ of Dimapur from various communities celebrated Saraswati Puja at Jain Temple Road, Dimapur on Vasant Panchami on February 16. A total of 90 youth contributed for the “communities’ celebration this year” which was led by Tony Kashliwal, Sumit Patni, Rahul Bilala, Rajesh Sethi, Nishant Harlalka and Anil Sethi (Damp). Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (North) conducted pre recruitment rally and screening drive for the upcoming Army recruitment rally at Athibung on February 16. Checking of documents, physical fitness, written exams for upcoming army recruitment rally were conducted. Medical checkup of the aspiring candidates was also carried out. Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised an ex-servicemen conclave at Jalukie on February 17. “The conclave aimed to strengthen the traditional bond and solidarity amongst serving and retired soldiers and also to provide them a platform to voice their concerns regarding various policies affecting the veterans,” informed an update from HQ IGAR (North).
