A team of delegation comprising of former Ministers and MLAS, representing Railway Affected Landowners’ Association (RALOA) paid a visit to the Union Railway Minister to apprise him of the factual position pertaining to land dispute under Dimapur Railway Station on August 5.

The Alumni Association of Good Shepherd High School, Kiphire, held its first meeting with the school administration today at the Headmaster’s office. The meeting was held to discuss the upcoming 25th Anniversary of the school, which will be celebrated in 2027. Members talked about forming a planning committee and discussed various ideas related to the anniversary program.
Japfu Christian College, Kigwema, held its 29th Fresher’s Day celebration on August 9, welcoming the incoming Class of 2025. The Guest of Honour, Polan John, Deputy Commissioner of Chümoukedima, spoke on the holistic essence of college life, emphasizing that true education encompasses not just academic excellence, but also values, decency, and productivity.
Modern Higher Secondary School (MHSS), Kohima, welcomed the new batch of Class 11 students with its Fresher’s Day 2025 held on August 9 at the School Auditorium with Nikato Y Tamang, Songwriter & Singer as a Special Guest. Vivo Kuotsu  of  Class 11 Arts and Bipana Thapa  of Class 11 Science were adjudged as Mr & Miss Fresher 2025. Mr. and Miss Multimedia for 2025 were Supongmeren Aier of 11 Science and Dichurho Joshou of  11 Arts.
Imtichoba Chang, MLA representing 54 Tuensang Sadar-II, interacted with patients in the ward at the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) and offered a prayer for their recovery on August 8. Pfutsero Government College hosted its 43rd Freshers’ Day on August 7 under the theme ‘Echoes of a New Beginning.’ As part of the celebration, Menupe-ü Rakho was adjudged Miss Fresher and Dzuwe Tepfo was adjudged Mr Fresher.
Apong Janger, President of the Yimkhiung Youth Organisation with Yimkhiung Community Bengaluru celebrating Metümnyo Festival on August 8 at Paalana Bhavana, Bengaluru.
