As part of its disaster management initiatives, District Hospital Zunheboto, in collaboration with the Fire Service and Emergency Department, Zunheboto, conducted a one-day training on fire safety measures on October 28. The training aimed to enhance readiness and safety protocols among hospital staff. Doctors and staff actively engaged in the hands-on training session, which included demonstrations on operating fire extinguishers and handling fire hazards involving gas cylinders. The session was led by the Fire Service personnel, under the guidance of ASI Boto V Achumi, who shared critical expertise on fire safety management.

 

Pipping ceremony of recently promoted 18 Forest Officers was held at Forest Office Complex, Dimapur.  The officers, who are currently posted at Nagaland Zoological Park, Intanki National Park, Wildlife Warden Dimapur and Dimapur Forest Division, include 17 Deputy Range Officers & 1 Forester II. Speeches were delivered by T Aochuba, IFS, Dr C Zupeni Tsanglai, IFS, and Beizo Soukhrie, IFS during the ceremony.
The Directorate of Evaluation Nagaland, Kohima held a farewell program for B. Rendysowa Ao, Director and Erangnimbe Thou, Deputy Director at the Directorate Conference Hall on October 30. The farewell program was attended by R. Ramakrishnan, IAS, Principal Secretary & Development Commissioner and accompanied by officials from the Evaluation branch Secretariat. Officers and staff from the Directorate and District Evaluation Offices attended the program.
On October 31, Nzanbeni Humtsoe, Councillor of the Dimapur Municipal Council and Member of the Sanitation Branch, attended the Silver Jubilee celebration of Shree Shree Kali Puja, held at Kevijau Colony (Ward 16), Dimapur. The Councillor commenced the programme by ceremonially lighting a candle, symbolizing the initiation of the event. In her address, the Councillor reflected on the symbolic significance of a single candle illuminating a room, emphasizing the essential role of light in overcoming darkness. She further acknowledged the milestone achievement of 25 years of Shree Shree Kali Puja, recognizing it as a commendable accomplishment worthy of appreciation.
St Joseph Higher Secondary School, Chümoukedima celebrated its cultural day on November 1. It was organised by the School Management with Razouvotuo Chatsu, Advisor, Angami Public Organization as the special guests. Cultural dance competition was held wherein the Lotha troupe emerged winner followed by Sangtam as 1st runners up and Sumi as 2nd runners up. Cash prize of Rs 20000, Rs 15000, and Rs 10000 was handed to the winners respectively. Rs 3000 was given to all participating troupe as consolation prize.
