Nagaland not prepared for disaster

Kohima | March 22 : Nagaland Governor Nikhil Kumar has expressed concern over the state’s lack of preparedness in dealing with disasters, particularly those of the larger scales.  In his address to the House today, the Governor said the case of the gutting of the Chief Minister’s official residence on February 8 has exposed our lack of preparedness in dealing with disasters. This, he said, should shock us out of our complacency and galvanize the concerned agencies to become better prepared for disasters. He assured that, for this, the government is committed to devote more resources in terms of manpower, materials and money.
