Dimapur, NOVEMBER 6 (MExN): The newly constructed playground, rostrum & RCC gallery attached with shops at Old Showuba, Kuhuboto, was inaugurated by Zhaleo Rio, IAS (Retd.), Advisor, Sericulture, Excise & Minority Affairs, on Nov. 6, 2020.
In his inaugural speech, he expressed gratitude to the villagers and Zaputuo Lhoungu, Class-1 contractor, for their joint effort and commitment towards completion of the project on time. Stating that the work was completed satisfactorily, he informed that the project was from Ministry of Tribal Affairs 2019-20 while urging the competent authorities to maintain it with care so that any event can be hosted accordingly.
On the health front, he warned that Nagas have become negligent with the passage of time as government has relaxed protocols related to Covid-19. Rio urged the gathering to strictly follow the three basic SOPs, i.e. keeping safe distance of 6 ft, washing of hands & regular use of sanitizers and wearing facial masks. He advised that leaders should follow and teach others about the pandemic.
