Nagaland Police, Assam Rifles conduct security drill

Dimapur, August 27 (MExN): A security drill was jointly carried out by Nagaland Police (Special Task Force) and Assam Rifles (AR) in Dimapur on August 27.
The exercise was aimed at achieving synchronization of actions by all stakeholders for security and disaster relief contingencies, informed a press release issued by Col C Konwer, PRO (Defence).
The release stated that the forces participating in the exercise discussed the nuances of carrying out different types of operations in a coordinated manner.
The drill included establishing of check posts, carrying out area domination, real time intelligence sharing and providing aid during emergencies and natural calamities.
“The exercise facilitated understanding capabilities of each force thereby enabling formulation of best practices to deal with these incidents,” it added.
