Nagaland Poll: Seizures worth over Rs 43 cr by enforcement agencies

Dimapur, February 18 (MExN): The various central and state enforcement agencies in Nagaland have made seizures worth Rs 43,84,68,620 since the date of announcement of General Election to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly till February 17.

According to an update from the Media Cell, CEO Office, Nagaland, out of the total, Rs 4,06,44,495 was seized in cash while IMLF (71334.824 litres) seizures amounted to Rs 4,56,98,290. A whopping haul of drugs/narcotics worth Rs 31,30,44,530 was also made by the enforcement agencies along with ‘freebies/other items’ worth Rs 3,90,79,640 and precious metal (0.02332 kgs of silver) worth Rs 1,665.

As per the update, the seizure made on February 17, included Rs 9,90,530 in cash, liquor (122.415 ltrs) worth Rs 98,840, drugs/narcotics worth Rs 45,71,000, and freebies and other items worth Rs 4,32,080.
