Nagaland Polls: Common platform for 19th Phek AC candidates

The 19th Phek Assembly Constituency organised a common platform programme for the intending candidates by the Dzülhami village Council under Phek district. The three intending candidates include Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu (NPF), Zachilhu Vadeo (Congress) and Kupota Khesoh (NDPP).

Taking the stage, Azo Nienu calls for free and fair election to be practice and let no hatred arises among the candidates and appeal that the Naga people should follow the call for clean election if we want changes.

He said NPF is contesting the election with the hope that if voted to power will assure the Naga people a hope in the face of difficulty, hope in the face of injustice, hope in the face of nepotism, hope in the face of tribalism, hope in the face of favouritism, hope in the face of trust deficit, hope in the face of multiple taxation and extortion and a hope for a better future to the Naga people.

He also asserted that if the party is part of the formation of next Government, its priority will be to address the unemployment problem by encouraging and promote private sector employment and private entrepreneur for the youths.

He also maintained that the NPF top programme for the students is to reward free laptop for all the students from class 12, subsidy for students for all meritorious students for higher education, streamline healthcare system and produce effective services for the needy.

Therefore, he appealed that, the NPF is not just a mere political party for contesting the election but a party for the Naga people benefits and upliftments.

He also asserted that no political will secured absolute majority to form the next Government and NPF has reduce the allotment of tickets distribution to 22 so that it will produce the best result.

The NDPP candidate, Kupota Khesoh in his speech said that he represents the candidate of the party which is to form the next Government and he stands as candidate to change the constituency to a better one.

He said he is representing for the change in the constituency and if the people elected him, he will emphasize on the improvement of the rural economy.

He highlighted that, his main focus will be on development of the rural areas, agri and allied field and asserted for the upliftment of the education system in the area.

He also said that if he is elected, he will make sure that all the work left which is yet to be done will be attain on priority. He also stressed the need to address on the educated unemployed youths that is at large.

The veteran Congress leader and former Minister, Zachilhu has praised the organiser for organising the common platform where all the candidates can freely express their minds to the public.

He said that after the Congress Government for the 15 years, the rest 20 years governance have witnessed a high corruption rate.

He also accused the present Government that due to corruption in all sphere, development in the state is not visible as all the respective scheme and programme is not been implemented accordingly.

He also of the view that God must have heard the cry of the Naga people for a change in Government and the system, so Congress candidature has come in a big number and maintained that, Congress will form a coalition Government with other party and bring a change in the Naga society, he said
