67 fresh cases, 16 recoveries on September 23
Dimapur, September 23 (MExN): 67 COVID-19 positive cases were reported in Nagaland on September 23, which included State Minister for Rural Development Metsubo Jamir.
The Minister reportedly tested positive after his return from New Delhi. A confirmatory second test is awaited. Jamir took to Twitter to confirm the status of his COVID-19 test on Wednesday.
“…anyone who has had contact with me is kindly requested to take all precautions and self isolate,” he wrote.
According to State Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom, the State also reported 16 recoveries with 15 in Kohima and 1 in Wokha.
The tally of positive cases in Nagaland as on September 23 was 5671 while recovery was 4509, and active cases was 1119 according to the Nagaland COVID-19 bulletin.
The death toll has also increased to 11, while 5 deaths are under ‘not COVID related’ category.
