Nagaland registers 57 new COVID cases, 88 recoveries

A total of 57 samples tested positive for COVID-19 in Nagaland on August 18, taking the State’s caseload to 29,331.

According to an update from the State Health and Family Welfare department, the new cases were reported from Dimapur (22), Kiphire (1), Kohima (17), Longleng (3), Mokokchung (7), Peren (1), Phek (2), Tuensang (1) and Wokha (3).

Meanwhile, with 88 new recoveries, the tally of recovery in the State increased to 26,826.

One more person succumbed to the infection in Dimapur on Wednesday, taking the death toll to 594.

There are 1,056 active COVID-19 cases in the State at present, out of which, 66 are admitted in COVID hospitals and 903 are under home isolation.
