Nagaland: Sebastian Rassmusen to conduct football camp in Kohima

Nagaland Youth Resources & Sports Advisor, Er. Zale Neikha today announced that international football coach Sebastian Rasmussen be arriving the state capital Kohima to conduct 10 day long football camp by next month.  

This was announced during a press conference here today in the presence of Anenla S. Longchari, IAS, secretary, youth resource & sports.  

This football camp has been initiated by the department of youth resources & sports in association with COSTCO and Soccer Competition (Sports Management) in commemoration with the year-long celebration of the 100th birth anniversary of Dr. T. Ao, and also, to enable the local footballers to acquaint themselves with the international football standard.   It will take place from August 6 to 16 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.  

This coaching camp is designed for football enthusiasts in the age group of 17 years and below.  

Setting aside 100 seat capacity for this camp, the department is inviting six players each from 11 districts of Nagaland. 28 seats is open for general wherein their entry will be entertained on a first come first served basis.  

Sports associations/organizations of the 11 districts have been requested to keep in touch with their respective DSOs for this camp.  

Asking the participants to bear fooding and travelling expenses by themselves, Er. Neikha said that department will be providing lodging whereas COSTCO would extend necessary equipments, ball etc. for the camp.  

Former Indian football captain Bhaichung Bhutia will grace the opening ceremony.  

The department extended invitation to the state football coaches and football lovers to be part of the opening ceremony.
