DIMAPUR, JULY 26 (MExN): Nagaland Government on Thursday asked the Assam Government to ensure that no construction activities are carried out in the Disturb Area Belt (DAB) areas.
Home Commissioner to the Government of Nagaland, R. Ramakrishnan in a letter addressed to the Principal Secretary, Government of Assam said it has come to notice that construction activities for establishing a Border Police Outpost in the DAB, near Watiyongpang Gate are being undertaken by the Assam Government.
It said any construction activities in the DAB may disturb peace and tranquility in the border areas.
On the reported lightning bandh enforced on NH-2 in Halwathing market area, the Nagaland Government also asked its counterpart to provide security to the people from Nagaland travelling on the National Highway in Amguri and border areas.
