DIMAPUR, SEPT 16 (MExN): Nagaland will file an affidavit of undertaking in the boundary dispute case with the states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, but with a condition. Industries and Commerce Minister H Khekiho Zhimomi today said that impetus would be given on the setting up of a boundary commission. “We are very clear on the boundary issue,” he told The Morung Express.
Nagaland wants a boundary commission for solving the vexed Nagaland-Assam border issue, and not a local commission as earlier proposed by Delhi. Since the issue is of a political manner, the Parliament and not the Supreme Court should deal with the matter at hand, Khekiho said.
