Kohima, Aug 6 (MExN): The Nagaland E-Sports Society (NES) will host the Tech & Gaming Expo (TXG) 2026 from August 28 to 29 August at NBCC Convention Hall, Kohima, marking the state's first dedicated technology and gaming expo.
Organised in collaboration with the Government of Nagaland, the two-day event will bring together competitive gaming, game development, technology, education, careers and the creator economy on a single platform.

TXG is the first professional, dedicated technology and gaming expo in Nagaland, built to connect esports and competitive gaming with game development, technology exhibitions, careers, education, the creator economy and digital career pathways.
The organisers describe it as a credible, scalable and annual property intended to position the state as an emerging gaming and innovation hub in the Northeast, anchored by the theme “Where Technology, Gaming and Culture Converge.”

The two-day programme spans competition, exhibition, learning and performance. Competitive gaming is anchored by three tracks, each carrying a prize pool of Rs. 1 lakh: an Inter-College Championship for teams from colleges across Nagaland and an Open MOBA 5v5 tournament, both on Mobile Legends, alongside a Mini Tournaments series of quick-play titles including EA Sports FC 26, Clash Royale, Tekken 8, Dirt Rally 2.0, Street Fighter 6 and Ludo King. Matches run with live streaming, shoutcasters and broadcast-quality production.
Beyond the arena, a Game Development Showcase gives local developers and students a stage for their projects, tech demos and innovation concepts, while Career Discussions convene industry experts for panels, skill workshops, career guidance and Q&A sessions. Interactive Zones offer hands-on experiences including gaming demos and product showcases, and a Cosplay Competition adds a creative and cultural dimension through a costume contest, performance stage and photo zones.
Technology exhibitions, an innovation hub and dedicated networking spaces complete the floor, with registration open to cosplayers, vendors and exhibitors. TXG is supported by departments of the Government of Nagaland and institutional partners including the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), NIELIT, YouthNet, NE8 and Nagaland Tourism.
