Nagaland to kick-start 18-44 years vaccination on May 17 

•    Registration starts May 14
•    Vaccination will be held at 28 sites
•    Every Monday and Tuesday reserved for vaccination of the age category 

Kohima, May 13 (MExN): Nagaland will finally begin the vaccination of beneficiaries in the 18-44 year age group from May 17 at 24 session sites on the first day, the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare announced in an official release on Thursday. On second day, the vaccination will be held at 28 sites.

The registration and booking for the aforesaid age group will start on May 14 at 9:00AM as per the slot available for each COVID-19 Vaccination Centre (CVC), stated the DOHFW’s release issued by the State Immunisation Officer (SIO) Dr Ritu Thurr.

Registration through CoWIN or Arogya Setu is mandatory for all beneficiaries and no on-site registration will be entertained and those who have registered earlier still need to book a slot at any designated CVC, it said.

The vaccination will start from May 17 only at designated CVC and every Monday and Tuesday is reserved for inoculation of the 18-44 age group, it added.

 The registered beneficiaries are further informed to come to the CVC with same photo identity uploaded on CoWIN or Arogys Setu App.

All beneficiaries must also maintained Covid appropriate behaviour and no person with COVID-19 like symptoms would be allowed entry into the CVCs, the release added.

A total of 7450 doses– 3650 on Monday and 3800 on Tuesday– are scheduled to be administrated during the first cycle of vaccination for 18-44 year age group.
