Tseminyu, August 16 (MExN): Tseminyu Sub-Divisional Planning & Development Board (SDPDB) held its monthly meeting at DBs Customary Court building, Tseminyu ADC office on August 10.
R Khing, Advisor for Veterinary & Animal Husbandry and Women Resource Development, who chaired the meeting, reminded the members to maintain good attendance in SDPDB meeting, according to a DIPR report.
The meeting discussed about the Tseminyu Town Golden Jubilee scheduled to be celebrated on November 18. ADC Nokchasashi Ao reminded the concerned sub-committee members of the jubilee to start working on their responsibilities at the earliest.
Meanwhile, Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer (SDAO) of Tseminyu, Viwheto Thorie highlighted the activities of Agriculture department in Tseminyu sub-division. He briefed on National Food Security Mission (NFSM), seed production under RKVY, the programme to promote farmers to produce their own seeds, purpose and activities of ATMA.
Thorie informed the members that under the ‘Women in Agriculture’ programme, capacity building on value addition, seed money, and exposure tours were given to women. 42 women were taken to Aliba village under Mokokchung for training cum exposure tour this year on May 5, he added.
SMO of Health and Family Welfare, Tseminyu, Dr. Tinenlo James spoke about the vaccination campaign to be started on October 3 in the State to eradicate occurrence of Measles and Rubella. He said that children in the age group from nine months to 15 years are to be given proper vaccination.
