Nagaland vocational trainers undergoing ToT in Sikkim

Dimapur, July 19 (MExN): Multi Skill Foundation Course (MSFC), a vocational course under Skill India mission, which is in compliance with National Skill Development corporation (NSDC) implemented in secondary and higher secondary government schools.  

A pilot programme is been implemented in four schools in Nagaland (T.M. GHSS Krulezou, Dr. Neilhouzhu GHSS, Kohima and GHSS Diphupar A, GHSS Purana Bazaar, Dimapur). This programme is in collaboration with Department of School Education, Government of Nagaland and Lend A Hand India, informed a press release issued by YouthNet.  

Lend A Hand India is partnered with YouthNet as Vocational Training Partners (VTP) to facilitate the program in the above four schools.  

Training for trainers (ToT) from Nagaland and Sikkim is under process in Modern School, Gangtok, Sikkim from July 16 to 20.  

This programme focuses on ‘Learning By Doing’ concept for the school students, which give an hands on experience to undertake skills like carpentry, plumbing, civil work, fabrication, electrical wiring and maintains, agriculture techniques, health and hygiene and home science.
