Nagaland witnesses progress in health care, roads: Rio

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio today asserted that the state has witnessed progress especially in the field of health care, roads and safe water supply for the people of the state. Speaking at the bi-monthly meeting of Administrative Heads of Departments  and Heads of Departments  here today at the Secretariat, Rio lauded the efforts of the officers and their contribution  in the field of development.

Rio urged the senior officers to come forward for solving any problems of the departments and appealed to them to rededicate themselves for better results in their performance.  According to an official bulletin “Naga News”, Rio further stressed on the need for obtaining departmental land patta and insisted on the government machinery to be careful in their conduct of the next census in the state.  He also asked the officers  to maintain transparency in every department. Also addressing the meeting, home minister, Imkong L. Imchen informed that no new village recognition would be attended to unless it is approved by the respective tribal hohos. 

He appealed to the officers to extend their full cooperation to the ministers and parliamentary secretaries to help the people, to advise and guide them to fulfill the rules in the simplest and fastest way possible. Along with the chief minister, the meeting was also attended by ministers, parliamentary secretaries and advisors. Nagaland Chief Secretary Lalthara chaired the meeting.
