Dimapur, December 10 (MExN): Three day Spiritual Awakening Crusade organized by the Nagamese Churches and Fellowship of Nagaland was held at Phezoucha Christian Fellowship, Secretariat Area Kohima from the December 7 to 9.
The Word of God was brought to the Believers through Rev.Kari Longchar, Director, Peace Affairs NBCC and Rev. Dirang Lungalang, Pastor, Christ Community Church, Chumukedima. Worship Teams from Christ Community Church, Chumukedima, Nagamese Church, Nagabazar and Phezoucha Christian Fellowship led the Praise and Worship during this Crusade.
Rev. Dirang Lungalang while sharing the Word of God on the opening day of the 3 day crusade encouraged the believers to have a desire for the double portion of the Holy Spirit like the Prophet Elisha who desired a double portion of the Holy Spirit from his Master, Elijah. Elisha had desired greater work for the Lord to perform greater works for the Lord and to live a better Christian Life.
During this Crusade, the leaders of the four Nagamese Churches and Fellowship felt the need of an Association among these Churches through which they could break the barriers of Tribalism, give a place of worship to the cross-marriage families, to raise young people for soul-saving ministries and so on. With these views in mind the Nagamese Baptist Association was instituted on December 8 with the sole purpose of bringing the lost souls to Christ. The Act of Declaration of the Association was made by Rev. Kari Longchar in front of more than 500 believers on December 9. In his speech he wished the Nagamese Baptist association to be a channel of blessing to all the Nagamese Churches so that they can come under one Umbrella and work together to break through all social barriers to win the lost souls to Christ and also work for the Unification and peace among the tribes in Nagaland. Nagaland Nagamese Churches Association formed an Executive Body with President Dr. Kiyasetuo Dzüvichü and Executive.
