However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic they were unable to make a proper release of it. He also said that regardless of budgetary constraints and lack of financial support from the government, Puja Films has always strived to make entertaining films for the people of the state.
The film director hoped that the people would come together to support the film by viewing it on YouTube where it will be released on March 24.
The short film release ceremony was attended by well wishers, family members and friends alike.
Puja Films Production was first launched in 1993 with their first movie being released in 1995. Till today, the production company has made over 105 films in its entire existence. They have also provided platforms to over 300 different actors and actresses who have gone on to have budding careers in Bollywood and other media industries.
During the launch of the film, The Morung Express had a short conversation with the main star of the film, Yekitoli Yepthomi. A humble, talented and hardworking girl of 28 years, she is a native of Aghunato town under Zunheboto district. On speaking about the experience she had while filming this movie, she admitted that it was both extremely tiring and enjoyable at the same time. However, she wished there were more marketing opportunities to promote such films in the state.
Yekitoli expressed gratitude to the director for giving her the opportunity to be in his films. She shared that ‘Fight Back’ was her second film with Puja Production with the first one being a movie called ‘Gangster.’
When inquired about her upcoming projects, Yekitoli disclosed that she has received an opportunity to star in one Assamese series as well. However she said that it all depends on the situation, “I still haven’t decided yet on whether or not to go.”
