Nagapex 2022: 1st State Level Online Philatelic Exhibition concludes

The first State Level Online Philatelic Exhibition billed as "Nagapex 2022" was held from February 3 to 5 last at Hotel De Oriental Grand, Kohima.

This event was organized by Nagaland Postal Division under the aegis of Postmaster General North East-II Dimapur, to showcase India's rich cultural heritage and observance of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.”

Gracing the closing function as the chief guest on February 5, Amitabh Kharkwal, chief postmaster general, North East Circle, Shillong, released a Special Cover on Nagapex 2022.

Kohima deputy commissioner Gregory Thejawelie, Inalo Zhimomi, Principal District & Session Judge, Dimapur and Som Kamei, Postmaster General, North East Region-II, Dimapur also spoke on the occasion.

The programme was chaired by Joy Justin Bongcher, Assistant Superintendent of Posts, Kohima Sub Division while vote of thanks was proposed by A. Akha-a Agnes, Inspector of Posts, Nagaland.

The exhibit under invitee category featured  Inalo Zhimomi (Penny Black, Nagaland Cinderellas, Flags & Mahatma Gandhi), Kholie Dolf (Foreign & Neighbouring Countries), Suman Deb (Thiththi An Uttering Bird), Arunendu Acharjee (Tribute to Bapu Through Postage Stamp), Pranab Goswami (1971 Bangladesh is born), Dr Debashish Roy (Copernicus), Dr. Vinay Kumar Sharma (The Fiscal and Revenue of the Thikanas of Jodhpur), Vinod Seth (Ramayana), Vishal Sanganeria (Postal History of Jaipur state), Aranya Dutta (The Unsung Revolutionaries of India), Binod Seth (Refugee Relief Tax 1971-73) and Joy Justin Bongcher Postcrossing).
