
Kohima, January 8 (DIPR): The Government of Nagaland has allowed the students from private schools of the 4 (four) hill districts of Manipur, including those students from such schools who had failed in the HSLC Examination conducted by the NBSE during 2007, to appear in the HSLC Examination 2008 under the NBSE on fulfillment of the following conditions:
1. Each student shall produce a certificate from the appropriate authority confirming that he/she is a bonafide student of Class X; under-aged students who are below 15+ years shall not be eligible;
2. Every student shall appear a Selection Test to be conducted by the NBSE in the month of January 2008 and only such students who are selected shall be eligible to appear the final examination; the Selection Test and the HSLC Examination 2008 shall be held within Nagaland, in Centres to be identified by the Board;
3. No student shall be eligible to appear in the said Selection Test or HSLC Examination if he/she is already registered under any other Board of Education e.g. Board of Secondary Education, Manipur;
4. Each student shall be liable to pay the prescribed examination fees fixed by the NBSE for appearing the HSLC Examination 2008.
All expenses incurred for conduct of the Selection Test and the HSLC examination in respect of this category of students shall be borne by the state Government.
