National Science Day held at MITE

Kohima, March 2 (MExN): Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE), Kohima observed National Science Day on February 29 with the theme: "Make in India Science and Technology Driven Innovation". Vice Principal D. Sinha highlighted the life history of CV Raman and encouraged the student-teachers to possess scientific attitude. A speech was also delivered by Dr. HP Singh, Special Guest and Principal, Modern College emphasizing on the importance of Science and its impact on humans in 21st century. The programme ended with a Science quiz competition conducted by Ecological Club.  

  Observes 5th Foundation Day   Meanwhile, MITE also celebrated its 5th Foundation Day Cum Cultural Day on March 1. The programme started with a song from the student-teachers. The Managing Director of MITE, Pelee Hekha gave a brief history on the foundation of MITE and also exhorted the student-teachers on the values of teaching and learning. Different cultural shows were performed during the programme.
