Asula from El-Beth School emerged the winner of the National Science Seminar conducted in Kiphire by the Department of Education on March 5. The event, graced by Dr Tinojungshi Chang, ADC Kiphire as guest speaker, was held at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire.
Dr Tinojungshi Chang stated that science education should be encouraged and supported by all to move forward together and achieve progress of the nation. Sharing his experiences, he said science subject is not at all hard as one thinks; it only needs sincerity and effort to grasp it. He added that studying science gives many opportunities as there are also many science and mathematics teachers posts vacant in the district. Appreciating the students for responding positively to the seminar, the guest speaker also asked the students to make best use of the platform so they learn while they are still student.
Panda, DEO Kiphire stressed on the importance of the day and shared on the life story of CV Raman in whose name Science Day is observed. Altogether 14 participants from 8 schools took part in the National Science Seminar organised by the District Education Office, Kiphire.
