NBSE board exams in April

HSLC exams from April 7 to 21, HSSLC exams from April 6 to 29

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 25 (MExN): The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) informed today that the HSLC & HSSLC examination 2021 will be conducted in April. 

The HSLC examination will be held from April 7 to 21 while the HSSLC exam will be held from April 6 to 29. The tentative date of HSLC & HSSLC Examinations 2021 results declaration may be June.

Meanwhile class XI promotion examination will be conducted by respective schools from March 11 to 31. 

A press release from the NBSE informed that all the board examinations shall be conducted with pen and paper through offline mode. The examination routines are made available in the board’s website: www.nbsenl.edu.in

With the provision of reopening of schools, the NBSE stated that institutions having science stream may conduct some hands on experience practical class in smaller groups for class XI and XII students. The conduct of the practicals should be based on the practical syllabus. It further stated that teachers shall conduct practical classes of all subjects and make assessment based on the practicals conducted in the class. The marks of this assessment shall be taken as practical marks along with practical record book assessment.

Internal assessments/project works for all the subjects are to be conducted by the schools through online/offline mode before the conduct of HSLC, Class XI Promotion and HSSLC examinations.

After conducting the internal/practical/project work, the school is required to record and keep the marks ready to be submitted to the board on the dates as and when notified.

Subject teachers have been directed to inform the students about the question bank of different subjects that was uploaded in the office website on July 27, 2020. They have also been asked to inform the students about the reduced syllabus for 2021 exams which was uploaded in the office website on September 1, 2020.

The NBSE also informed teachers to acquaint themselves with the blueprint of all subjects which was uploaded in the office website on December 2, 2020 and guide their students with the type/design of questions given in the blueprint.

Meanwhile, model tests are to be conducted by all the schools within February 6 and the results to be submitted to the board from February 6 to 12.

The board directed schools to adopt necessary measures to track the learning outcomes of the students and give remedial/coaching classes online/offline in order to prepare the students for the ensuing examinations.

Further, all heads of institutions have been asked to ensure that COVID-19 SOPs are strictly followed while carrying out the academic and examination activities in the school.
