NBSE to conduct state talent search exam

KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 7 (MExN): The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) is organizing the Stage l: District Level Examination of the State Talent Search Examination (STSE) in Mathematics and Science on September 10 at the 16 District Headquarters including Medziphema.

A total of 5692 students of class -IX (Nine) from 236 schools will appear written examination of Multiple Choice-Type Questions in 21 examination centers, a DIPR report stated. 

The Stage 2- State Level Examination will be held in the month of October 2024 where each participant will attend a three-day course in Kohima and be mentored by PARAKH, NCERT, New Delhi.

This is being done in collaboration with Performance Assessment, Review and Analysis of Knowledge for Holistic Development (PARAKH). National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi, as part of the activities planned to commemorate the Board's Golden Jubilee in order to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics education in the state.

The visions and objectives of the talent search are to encourage students to develop a keen interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics; discover students with exceptional abilities and potential in STEM subjects; provide a platform for students to showcase their skills and knowledge in  mathematics and science; improve problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills; inspire innovative thinking and application of STEM concepts; equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge for future academic and career pursuits in STEM fields and recognize and reward talented students, motivating them to pursue further studies and careers in STEM.
