Chümoukedima, April 24 (MExN): The first-ever Boy’s Under-16 Inter-District Tournament 2024, organized by the Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA), will kick off on Thursday in three different locations across the State.
A total of nine district teams are taking part in the game scheduled from April 25 to May 5.
Peren District will host the Group A matches, comprising of Peren, Chümoukedima, and Niuland. The first Group A match is between Chümoukedima and Niuland at St Xavier College Ground, Jalukie.
Kohima, Dimapur, and Tseminyu are in Group B, with Kohima district as the host. Dimapur and Tseminyu will clash in the first match at Jakhama Local Ground.
Mokokchung District will host Group C matches, which include Wokha and Zunheboto. The first match of the group is between Wokha and Zunheboto, to be played at Imkongmeren Sports Complex.
Earlier, the NCA had informed that the tournament would be played in the multi-day format in accordance with the playing conditions of the BCCI.
The top qualified teams from each group will then play the next round at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima.
