NCC cadets trained on first aid, environment protection

Dimapur, July 27 (MExN): As Annual Training Camp of 24 Nagaland (Independent) Company NCC entered penultimate day on July 27 at Livingstone Foundation Higher Secondary School here, cadets were trained on environment & wildlife protection and first aid drills.  

Office of Chief Wildlife Warden along with Nagaland Pollution Control Board (NPCB) organized an awareness programme for the NCC cadets on environment and wildlife protection, informed a press release.  

Satya Prakash Tripathi, PCCF (Wildlife) and Chief Wildlife Warden delivered the keynote address, Obed Bohovi Swu gave presentation on conservation of forest and wildlife, while Akangmeren Imchen, Scientist from NPCB spoke on environment conservation. The cadets took a ten-point pledge to save earth by protecting environment and wildlife, the release stated.  

Lt Col Vivek Shukla, Camp Commandant, Annual Training Camp in the release further informed that a team of trainers from District Commandant Home Guards and Civil Defence taught the cadets on first aid drills. The cadets were made to practice on the models and equipment used for emergency drills.  

Later in the evening, the cadets learnt about Field Formations and Field Signal through demonstration carried out by a small team of cadets trained by the NCC Permanent Instructor Hav Hanuman Singh.
