NCC girls donate masks & hand wash to Chiedema

DIMAPUR, JUNE 11 (MExN): The Associate NCC Officers and NCC girls of 1 Nagaland Girls' Battalion NCC under the aegis of NCC Group-Kohima/NER have been working on handwash & mask making for the past almost 3 weeks. 


The aim is to contribute the stuffs to the adopted villages of respective NCC sub-units as a gesture of concern during these lockdown days and to train cadets how to make these stuffs. 


On June 10, the first load of 200 bottles (300 ml each) of hand wash & 200 masks were donated to Chiedema, the adopted village of Don Bosco HSS, Kohima, an NCC sub-unit. The team who visited the village for the purpose comprised of Col Avinash D. Pitre, Commanding Officer of 1 NL Girls' BN NCC; SO Besuro Elizabeth, ANO of DBHSS; SO Ersilia Chaste, ANO of LFHSS, Kohima; and Nb/Sub MoawatiAo, JCO of 1 NL (G) BN NCC, Kohima. 


Dr Seyiekhrietuo John Zhale, State Programme Officer (AYUSH); Pastor Razouvolie, CBC and executive members of Chiedema Village Students' Union received the team and expressed their gratitude. The remaining loads of the same stuffs are going to be contributed to some more villages next week, informed a press release.
