Dimapur, August 14 (MExN): Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) has condemned the “dastardly act” of assailants who attacked Lotha Hoho Dimapur General Secretary and Lotha Colony Council Chairman, Renathung Ezung on August 8 at Circular Road, Dimapur. Taking serious note of the incident, NCD in a press release issued by its General Secretary, Thsapongkyu Sangtam pressed upon the law enforcing agencies to react positively by booking those responsible and award befitting punishment as per the law. NCD also raised concern over vehicles without any number plate or with fake number plates becoming one of the leading causes of crimes in Dimapur. While lauding Dimapur Police Anti Vehicle Theft Squad (AVTS) for seizing number of vehicles that are stolen, with fake registration or tampered engine details etc, NCD urged the law enforcing agency to start a crackdown against unregistered vehicles and take strict measures against the “anti-social elements” using suspicious vehicles.
