NCRC Kenuozou youth celebrate Silver Jubilee

Kohima, October 15 (MExN): The Christian Youth Endeavour of NCRC Kenuozou celebrated 25 years of its foundation on October 14. The Jubilee was celebrated in NCRC Kenuozou church under the theme “This is the day the Lord has made....” (Psalm 118:24).  

What began as a youth fellowship when the Christian Revival Church was established in Kenuozou in 1991 soon blossomed into the CYE in 1993 with a few members initially but which is now a vibrant congregation of youth from various communities, stated a press note received here.  

Delivering the jubilee message, Dziesetuo Suokhrie, Pastor, NCRC Kenuozou said, “this (jubilee) is a time when liberty is declared for all, and it is a season of rejoicing for the anniversary of a special event.”  

While talking about the Jubilee year as a time of forgiveness of sins, forgiving one another, he exclaimed this is the time when lost faith can be restored. He further exhorted that truly accepting Christ as one’s personal saviour will give way to a willing heart that leads to obedience. He prayed that God would soften hardened hearts and revive people again through the breaking of chains that bind humans to sin.  

The Pastor also led a pledge taken by the congregation to forgive each other and make way for the manifold blessings that comes only from God. The Jubilee service was chaired by Neituo Khana, Chairman, NCRC Kenuozou. Bible passages were read by Thenuosielie Pielie and Neingutsonuo Pienyü. Special songs were presented by Vikephrenuo Lhoungu, combined choir of fathers’ fellowship and women department, male voice from the youth department and the Jubilee choir. Invocation prayer was pronounced by Vilazolie Tseikha, deacon and offertory prayer was led by Pfukieü Yano while vote of thanks was delivered by Seyiekhrietuo Sopfü, youth director and convenor, organizing committee.  

A special number was presented by members of Assam and West Bengal Revival churches which are the mission centers of the NCRC Kenuozou. Praise and Worship was led by Mülüvoto Ringa and the praise band and hymns were led by Kevizapu Lhoungu as leader and Neilhousanuo Sopfü as pianist. Former chairpersons, office bearers both past and present and well wishers were felicitated during the programme.
