NCS officers to go on mass casual leave from October 3

The Nagaland Civil Service Association (NCSA) on Thursday said all Nagaland Civil Service (NCS) officers will go on a mass casual leave from October 3, 2017 onwards. NCSA president Kevin Zehol told The Morung Express that all the NCS officers will be converging in Kohima on October 3 after submitting their casual leave to the concerned authority (s).  

The NCSA president said the reason for the mass casual leave, a form of protest, was decided during a meeting on September 25, 2017 and reaffirmed on Wednesday. Though declining to divulge details, Zehol said the matter pertains to issue related to the association. Against a sanctioned post of 307, at present there are 283 NCS officer posted in different capacities in Nagaland State.
