Kohima, January 18 (MExN): The Kohima Unit of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has “heartily welcomed” Neiphiu Rio to the party fold.
“His joining the NDPP is a great morale booster to those seeking progressive change in governance, stability, all round development and lasting peace in the state,” a statement from President of NDPP Kohima Region, Avio Tetso stated.
The unit expressed sincere gratitude to party president Chingwang Konyak and working president Alemtemshi Jamir and other senior party leaders for inviting Rio to the party fold.
The NDPP Kohima further appealed to all other political party men and women to join the NDPP and strengthen the hands of Rio and party president Chingwang Konyak.
