Dimapur, May 19 (MExN): The NDPP Central Youth Organization (CYO) handed over a sum of Rs 1,20,000 to the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur Rajesh Soundararajan (IAS) in the presence of the Nodal Officer for COVID, Y Kikheto Sema (IAS) and Commissioner of Police, Dimapur Rothihu Tetseo (NPS) for purchase of beds for the newly designated makeshift COVID Hospital for COVID-19 patients at Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Dimapur.
A press release from IT & Media Cell, NDPP CYO stated that the NDPP Youth representatives Meyisanger Lemtur, vice president, Lhouvi Punyu, general secretary, Vichosel Rhutso, secretary including Dimapur Region Youth President Toshi Longkumer and vice president Lawrence had a brief meeting with the officials where several COVID related issues were discussed while also deliberated on the various challenges faced by the frontliner and the COVID-19 patients.
They conveyed appreciation to the DTF for their selfless and yeomen service and ensured to extend support in combating the COVID-19 pandemic together.
The team also visited the ongoing makeshift hospital and appreciated the officials led by Thejavizo Nakhro, SDO (C) for their tireless effort in accelerating the work progress of the hospital.
