
Chozuba, February 6 (MExN): A press release from the NDPP 18 Chozuba AC Media Cell informed that its candidate Kudecho Khamo launched his campaign Chetheba Town in Phek district.
Addressing the gathering during the event, he is said to have acknowledged the leadership of the NDPP led by party president Chingwang Konyak, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and others for allotting the party ticket.
As per the release, Khamo welcomed the new comers into the party fold at the constituency and challenged everyone to collectively work for the interest of the people so as to strengthen the party.
Khamo hailed the Chief Minister as a tall and visionary leader who has brought about massive development in the state and is also initiating many welfare centric initiatives in the pipeline which will surely benefit the mass. He asserted that the people from Chozuba AC should also strive to be in the government for all round development, the release stated.
Stressing the importance of economic development and stability among the people, Khamo urged upon the people to join hands to bring about transformative change with new visions, eradicate corruption with good governance and transparency.
He also shared that this election should be a landmark to usher change while asserting his visions in order to provide avenues to the youth in their endeavours and also encourage youth to venture into entreprenuership and farming.
He maintained that the government under the leadership of CM Rio is working massively for promotion of sports in the state by setting up infrastructures in various districts and said that the youth need to catch up with this to develop professionalism.
Meanwhile, Zacüto Nyekha, president, 18 Chozuba Mandal BJP in his address assured that the BJP units under the constituency would give their support to the NDPP candidate as part of the alliance. Thupukhruo Ringa advisor, NDPP 18 Chozuba AC , Nuzota Swuro, ex MLA and NDPP vice president also spoke during the occasion.
Meanwhile, Khamo, NDPP candidate filed his nomination papers on Monday and asked the party workers to work together relentlessly as the elections are round the corner.
He also inaugurated a temporary NDPP office at Chozuba Town and expressed hope that the office would benefit the party workers to work together and strengthen the party in the constituency.
