Former Principal of Dimapur Government College, Akok Walling has maintained that there was a need to re-evangelize and re-Christianize Naga Christians. According to the speaker, many Naga Christians have the deceptive thought that simply knowing God or being a Christian would confirm their salvation.

Akok was addressing the graduation ceremony of R5 Sinai Ministry Leadership School at Life Spring Corner, Dimapur on May 10.

He urged the graduating class to let God lead them in whichever field they work. He said that their 30-day training needed to be strengthened and energized by the Holy Spirit to serve the Lord better. Akok told them that unless their spirituality was revived, restored and energized, no change would be forthcoming. Akok said that their graduation was the end of one chapter in their lives and a new beginning starts which remain connected with the previous chapters of their lives.

Altogether, 14 trainees graduated from the school. Toli Sema and Sentiyanger Imchen bagged the best student award from the female and male category respectively.

Principal of R5 Sinai Ministry Leadership School, Pastor C. Meren Jamir and other staff assisted the Graduation Speaker, Akok in conferring degrees to the graduating class.

Members from The Lighthouse Church, Dimapur led the praise and worship team while Tali Angh also presented a song during the programme attended by parents of the trainees, school staff and well-wishers.

An initiative of the Ministry, R5 Sinai Ministry Leadership School under the motto ‘Kindled Life-Transformed World’ is a month-long residential school conducted with the purpose to “disciple, train and release future leaders in obedience to the Bible.” R5 stands for Revive, Restore, Recruit, Release and Reform.
