Kohima, July 27 (MExN): Nagaland Advisor for CAWD and Taxes, Kudecho Khamo today stressed on the ‘need to build a vibrant society that would be self sufficient.’
He was speaking at the thanksgiving and dedication programme of Chozuba Town Council at Vamuzo Memorial Town Hall Chozuba, stated a press release received here.
Khamo highlighted the need to change mentality of the people and not rely on the political and government facilities so as to impact the social change and alleviate the people’s life.
The Advisor emphasised on the need to do away with the mentality to look up to government job pointing out the limited numbers and advocated for entrepreneurship.
He advised the councilors to respect and uphold the mandate of the people to work for the welfare of the people, and to be responsible and accountable to the people. He stressed on the need to work as a team towards the party’s vision and commitment reaching out to every person.
Rev Dr Vevo Phesao Senior Pastor, Chakhesang Baptist Church Minister’s Hill, Kohima offered prayer a dedicatory prayer for the councilors and addressed the event.
Speeches were delivered by the councilors wherein they have acknowledge the mandate given to them and vows to work for the welfare of the people. Earlier, welcome address was delivered by Vevohu Epao, President NDPP 18th Chozuba AC. The programme was led by Thepurkrayi Nienu, General Secretary, NDPP 18th Chozuba AC and invocation prayer was said by Sosuyi Khesoh, Senior Pastor, Rikhuba Baptist Church.
