Neiba Kronu calls on union minister Jual Oram

Kohima, April 12 (MExN): Parliamentary Secretary for Planning & Co-ordination, Evaluation, Monitoring & Taxes Neiba Kronu met Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Jual Oram in New Delhi recently.  

Kronu highlighted the problems faced by the tribal people in the country and Nagaland in particular for which he requested the Union Minister to look into the welfare of the state in order to bring changes and development in the society by granting more funds to the state.

  Jual Oram, while interacting with Kronu, said that after a deliberative conference held on April 7 with State Ministers, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries, said that the Ministry of Tribal Affairs is organizing a Tribal Carnival on April 29 to showcase the rich and colourful tradition of the tribals of the country from all parts of India through which large number of participant is expected for the great show.  

The event will be inaugurated by Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India.  

Oram requested Kronu, and the Government of Nagaland to represent in large number to show its rich culture and diversity.   Kronu assured all support and manpower in whatever the state government could be of help, according to the press statement release by Thomas Thailu, Officer On Special Duty (OSD) Department of planning & Co-ordination, New Delhi.
