Chümoukedima, November 18 (MExN): North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research (NEISSR) IQAC organised Meta Training and Certification programme in collaboration with Impulse NGO at the Peace Centre, Chümoukedima on November 18.
The primary objective of the event was to enhance participants’ skills in utilising social media across various platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, X (Twitter) and YouTube, stated in a press release issued by NEISSR Desk.
The programme was moderated by James Phanungkiu. Fr Lawrence Khing, Vice Principal, NEISSR, delivered the welcome note.
Chenithung Humtsoe, Chief Functionary/Executive Director cum Secretary of Bethesda Youth Welfare Centre shared insights from his personal experiences, recounting the journey of starting his own organisation. He encouraged students to actively engage in social activities across various fields.
Addressing a critical issue, Khlurshai Marwein, Database Management Support, emphasised the importance of preventing and protecting against human trafficking. To drive home the severity of the issue, he presented a compelling short documentary on human trafficking, aiming to raise awareness and inspire action.
The programme also delved into the realm of business management with presentations by Zaben Murry, founder of Zaben Murry Design and Limhathung B Yanthan. They shared strategies on how to effectively utilise social media for business purposes, shedding light on ways to enhance organizational functions through online platforms.
Following these informative sessions, participants had the opportunity to register for certificates online. The programme concluded with a question-and-answer session.
