NER Craftpersons participate in India International Hospitality Expo

Visitors during the four day hospitality event held from August 7-10 at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida Expressway.

 

Kohima, August 16 (MExN): The four day hospitality event was held from August 7 – 10 at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida Expressway.


A press release from Vilekhoto Pusa, EPCH Kohima stated that the event has become the most powerful networking forum by witnessing an astounding line up of trade discussions, knowledge sessions, gastronomic demonstrations, awards night etc.


It was an unparalleled patronage from industry stalwarts, government institutions and state ministries coming together at one platform to address the successful growth of hospitality sector.


The release also added that the second edition of India International Hospitality Expo (IHE) has become the biggest hospitality hub where exhibitors, students, audience come from pan India.


Speakers from across the world and MSME company owners from North East showcased their work as part of Make in India initiative.


Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH with the support of O/o Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles arranged participation of 10 (ten) entrepreneurs/artisans from NE States in IHE – 2019 in the four days Mega Event.


It provided an unparalleled opportunity for marketing and selling as well as to generate awareness in the market of the various crafts produced by the craftsperson’s from the North Eastern Region Craft Clusters.


The participation strengthens market linkages between marketers and craft producers. The products showcased during the participation were to provide an opportunity to expose the handicrafts of the country in a better way before the domestic visitors as well as foreigners visiting the country.


The participants were provided all support related to their participation like display of products, interior and exterior of the theme pavilion etc. The Council undertook various publicity measures to promote their participation and crafts. 


The artisans from NE States with the support of DC (Handicrafts) has given opportunities for participation in IHGF Delhi Fair organized by EPCH to explore exports and undertake Brand image promotion campaigns in traditional as well as non-traditional markets, every year the Council participates on an average 50 exhibitions abroad with exporters of handicrafts and conduct brand image promotion seminars for creating awareness and market intelligence & linkages, it added.
