Dimapur, December 5 (DIPR): The monthly District Planning and Development Board meeting of Dimapur District for the month of December was held on December 5 in the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner Dimapur.
DC Dimapur, Sushil Kumar Patel IAS who chaired the first DPDB meeting after assuming Office as DC Dimapur welcomed all the Board members which was followed by self introduction by the members.
Sushil Kumar while reminding the members about the conduct of Assembly Elections during the early part of next year, for which the date is yet to be announced, sought the contribution and help from all the members for conducting the elections peacefully in the district. He further informed the members that a meeting would be convened next week for constituting various teams relating to Election issues.
Kumar also apprised the members to inform DCs Office if they are going out of station and also asked the departments who have not submitted the list of employees to do the same at the earliest.
In the meeting, the new Deputy Commissioner also enquired from the R&B department about the progress of construction of the two bridges at Dimapur.
In the meeting, the House decided to send the proposal for upgrade of Kuhuboto SDO to ADC hq to the government for consideration. With regard to registration of societies, the House recommended the proposal of Sustainable Bio Village, Molvom Village, Medziphema and decided to forward it to the government for consideration.
As entrusted, Land Resources and Forest departments gave their departmental presentations.
